Serious Signs of a Vision Problem
One goal of See by Three is to raise awareness about vision disorders. It is important to stress that many common vision problems do not have outward symptoms. Even if none of these problems look familiar, there could still be a problem. If you have any concerns about your child's eyes, schedule an appointment with your doctor.
The three symptoms below are considered "concerning" and if they are present, tell your physician the next time you have a scheduled visit.
Unequal pupils may be a sign of nerve damage or tumor which is visible in one eye. If a child tilts their head, it may be an indication that the child is avoiding double vision. If there appears to be a pupil defect, if the pupil is irregular in shape, it may be an indication that there is a defect inside the eye.
